Professional Background and Clinical Leadership Roles
My journey in medicine began with undergraduate studies at King’s College London. Prior to this, I gained valuable experience in paediatric critical care, working as a cardiac intensive care nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Building on this foundation, I pursued postgraduate training in Paediatrics throughout London, the East of England, and Oxford. Ultimately, I returned to Great Ormond Street Hospital to undertake Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine Grid training, bringing my career full circle to the institution where it all started.
Consultant and Clinical Leadership Positions
Since 2015, I have held the post of substantive consultant in Paediatric Critical Care at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. In this role, I serve as the Clinical Lead for the Southampton Oxford Retrieval Team (SORT) in Oxford, Paediatric Major Trauma Lead for Oxford, and South Central Regional Paediatric Clinical Lead for organ donation.
Network Involvement and Leadership
I have been an active participant in the Thames Valley and Wessex critical care network since 2015, and in 2025 I became co-clinical lead for the Paediatric Critical Care Operational Delivery Network.
Clinical Interests
My clinical interests revolve around developing high quality paediatric services, with a focus on effective collaboration and interface among all professionals involved in the care of critically ill children within the region.
