Lead Nurse – Paediatric Congenital Heart Disease

Cate is a paediatric cardiac nurse specialist with extensive experience supporting children and families through congenital heart disease pathways. She has worked across theatres, interventional cardiology, fetal medicine, and high‑dependency cardiac care.

In 2020, she completed a PG Cert in Medical Education and moved into a regional leadership role with the Thames Valley & Wessex CHD Network as Network Educator, supporting education, training, and workforce development. She became the ODN Lead Nurse for CHD in 2022.

Cate is passionate about improving experiences and outcomes for children, young people, and adults living with congenital heart disease, inherited cardiac conditions, and arrhythmias, ensuring they receive high quality, compassionate care throughout their pathway.
