Our Hospitals

The Children’s Cancer ODN works in partnership with 16 providers across Thames Valley and Wessex, within parts of Sussex, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

This includes the 14 Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Units and 2 Principal Treatment Centres (Oxford University Hospitals and University Hospitals Southampton), along with 2 non-NHS POSCUs on Jersey and Guernsey.

Children and families do travel outside of region for certain treatments on specific specialist pathways jointly commissioned through the Principal Treatment Centre (PTC). For example, Radiotherapy at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and Bone Marrow transplants at Bristol, Cambridge, UCLH, Great Ormond Street or The Royal Marsden, dependant on age.

  • POSCU = Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Unit
  • PTC = Principal Treatment Centre
